Parker's Project Spotlight: Detailing Stories

Happy fall everyone!

Rear quarter panel of Dr. Pepper colored paint

We've had an incredible summer and are still riding that wave of work as we go into cooler weather, so thank you everyone for the work! We have a couple of services we have been getting a lot of questions about that would be beneficial to cover.

Mold

We've been getting a lot of calls regarding mold in vehicles due to all of the rain over the past few weeks, and it is taking some time to get to everyone. If you're on the waiting list, PLEASE try to dry out the interior using a drying aid such as a fan. We've seen cars go from zero mold to completely covered in white mold in less that 72 hours, so please do what you can to keep it dry until it can be professionally cleaned. Keeping the vehicle in your garage with the doors open can help ventilate the interior as well.

Artillery fungus and Spores

We've have seen a ton of cases of artillery fungus on the exterior of vehicles this year as well. These are those small black spots on paint that do not wash off. Most folks that call us have had mulch put down recently, so we are guessing that there is something going around right now in out door products that are being put down. In this situation, we encourage washing your vehicle as soon as you can, because these have a glue like root that adhered itself to the paint and is very difficult to remove. If left for more than a few weeks it will stain the paint requiring a polish which can be an expensive service.

Thank you everyone!
